----------------------- Message requiring your approval ---------------------- From: Jeff Corbett <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: [ha-Safran]: Collectors of Anne Frank material
Dear S. B.
You asked, I don't understand why anyone would want to create a private collection of Anne Frank stuff. I started to do this, and here is my story.
When I was in high school and college, I was trying to rediscover my Jewish heritage. That search eventually lead me to visiting Israel and becoming Orthodox. I now live in Toronto. Along the path, I was searching for anything Jewish that I could "read" to try and connect back. Not living in a Jewish city (Brampton, Ontario), there were no Jewish bookstores. All I knew about Judaism was the Holocaust. Thus, I did start to develop an Anne Frank book collection on my own. This all occurred around the time that the film Schindler's List came out. The following list is all of the Anne Frank materials that I purchased. Being a student, I relied on library book sales and used bookstores.
(Please excuse my lack of following proper cataloguing rules below. This is just a list and not intended to be a proper library catalogue. I am not currently a cataloguer
