At convention someone talked about coordinating our conventions with ALA conferences.
Just received this information (included in a document entitled ALA Conferences: response to post-Orland questions, July 2004). ALA Annual Conferences are currently scheduled in: Chicago (2005, 2009), New Orleans (2006, 2011), Washington DC (2007, 2013), Anaheim (2008, 2012), Orlando (2010), Las Vegas (2014), San Francisco (2015). New York City is expected to bid on a future conference. Local expansion (both hotel and convention center) may put both Boston and Philadelphia on future annual conference lists.
