Jason Aronson, I was told yesterday, is all but out of business and has
been bought by an
academic publisher whose name I don't remember and never heard of
I don't think that Pelican is a Jewish publisher. They seem to
specialize in Louisiana- iana (?)
with just a few Jewish books, like the Toby Belfer series.
I think that Shocken is now part of Random House.
