Shalom.

I am a trustee of Politz Day School of Cherry Hill,
New Jersey, a modern orthodox, Zionist school serving
children in preschool through 8th grade. As a member
of Politz's library committee, I have been charged
with creating a target list of Judaic resources for
the school's new library. Although our list of
primary religious texts is comprehensive, we need help
filling out the list in other areas. (We are a small
school and have no librarian at this time.)

My question is this: What books in the areas of (1)
Jewish history to the present, (2) Land of
Israel/Zionism, and (3) Holocaust studies are "must
haves" or otherwise highly recommended for an orthodox
day school library serving English speaking elementary
and middle school students?

All responses will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Shari Solomon
