Last week's English language Forward focused on Canadian Jewish literature in their Arts and Culture section. Allan Nadler's review of "The Journals of Yaacov Zipper, 1950-1982: The Struggle for Yiddishkayt" (Translated from the Yiddish and edited by Mervin Butovsky and Ode Garfinkle). is quite interesting and positive. (http://www.forward.com/main/article.php?ref=nadler20040825908). It led me to the check my shelves and see what I had by Zipper in stock. I thought to post a short list of Zipper's title's, but instead made up a list of Canadian and "Canadian" yiddish books. If you would like to receive this list please let me know. In addition to Zipper there are books by Melekh Ravitch, Chava Rosenfarb and many others. I can send either a print or email version of the list of over seventy titles.
