I posted this notice on this listserver in 2001, and thought that I
would again make the following offer.
I have put together 719 episodes of "The Eternal Light" radio
show on a set of two DVDs (data DVDs in compressed mp3 format). These
half-hour drama programs were produced by the Jewish Theological
Seminary of America and were broadcast on the radio each week on Sunday
morning for a half-hour. The episodes in this collection were produced
from 1944 to 1968.
More information is available at
http://learn.jtsa.edu/topics/reading/bookexc/tradren/chap27.shtml
If your library would like a (free) set of these DVDs, please
send me a note with your name, and the name and address of the library
you are associated with. I also have a catalog of the episodes in the
set that I could forward upon request.

I would also appreciate the following help from the readers of this
listserver. There are probably at least two- to three-hundred more
episodes of The Eternal Light radio series that were broadcast that I
would like to obtain and add to the collection. Please let me know if
you know of anyone at the Jewish Theological Seminary who might be
willing to help me get access to the JTS radio archives, or someone
associated with the estates of Morton Wishengrad, who wrote numerous
scripts for the series, or Maurice Samuels, who was responsible for the
Summer series that substituted for The Eternal Light called "The Words
We Live By."
Thank you.
