Safranim- You may have heard about the flash floods in Hawaii. I wrote to Nancy Sack after reading that their library had been badly flooded.
Here is her reply: Hi, David. Thanks for your concern. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the flood but the entire ground floor of the library (housing technical services, documents, maps, and the library school) was completely destroyed. The biomedical sciences building also lost everything on its ground floor. I can't even imagine how long it will take before things are close to normal.
