Dear friends: The book was called in Yiddish (my translation) "The Cigarette Peddlers At The Three Crosses Plaza". It is a fascinating, cliff-hanger story of a small group of Jewish boys who survived the war years in Warsaw by peddling cigarettes in front of the Gestapo headquarters, guessing (correctly) that this would be the last place where anyone would suspect the presence of Jewish boys. Their ages were 7 - 13 or so. The book was translated into Hebrew, but I would like to get it for my grandchildren here if it exists in English. As you may guess, I am a Holocaust survivor.
