I must admit that I, like Eli, am generally
uncomfortable having these books in my Judaica
library.

IMHO, this question is not merely one of inclusion /
exclusion of the books from the bookshelves in our
libraries. The larger question of how to treat
converts to Judaism and their children is not new.

If we exclude converts and intermarried families from
our libraries, we close ourselves off to a segment of
the community that could benefit from what Jewish
libraries have to offer.

I should also point out that it's not just by giving
them awards that such books are recognized. I first
became aware of a particular inter-faith book when it
was displayed at the Denver AJL convention (I can't
recall the title, though).
