Andrea, Many of the Chusham or Khushim stories are attributed to other fools, too, and vice versa. But you'll find an Ashkenazi version of "Khushim and His Bride" in Weinreich's Yiddish Folktales, along with "Next Time That's What I'll Say." Peninnah Schram features this same story with the Sephardic Joha as the protagonist in "Going Along with Joha" in Chosen Tales; it is also in Matilda Koen-Sarano's Folktales of Joha. Take a look at the Joha stories for your children who love Chusham. Sharon Elswit Rodeph Sholom School NYC
