The Martin J. Gottlieb Day School, a K-8 Solomon Schechter Day School in Jacksonville, Florida, with a student population of approximately 180 is seeking a principal beginning July 2005. Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Education/Head of Schools, the Principal will supervise and lead the day to day management of the school's faculty and staff, ensuring that the school's vision and mission is implemented and accomplished. The Principal will have the primary responsibility for curricular management, development and implementation as well as teacher supervision and evaluation. The Principal will participate in school programming, appropriate committee work, strategic planning and policy making. Qualifications include a minimum of a Master's Degree, preferably in Educational Leadership and minimum of 5 years experience in supervisory/educational administrative role. Minimum of 3 years teaching experience. Knowledge and understanding of Conservative Judaism a must. Compensation is completely based on qualifications.
