In response to Cheryl Banks' query:

Clara Isaacman was a JPS author, who was tireless in bringing her story,
recounted in the JPS book, CLARA'S STORY, to children and adults throughout
the United States. She often spoke at schools, and was particularly
interested in informing children about her experiences. She had a lifelong
"love affair" with her husband, Daniel Isaacman, who was an educator, and
was instrumental in founding Camp Galil, a socialist-oriented Zionist camp
near Philadelphia based on communal values and love of Israel. Late in
life, Clara tried to find a publisher for the letters exchanged between
herself and her husband during a period when they were separated. The book
never appeared, unfortunately.

The only contact information I have is a possible relative in Philadelphia:

C. Isaacman
828 E Cornwall St
Philadelphia, PA 19134-1906 C. Isaacman
Home: (215) 425 - 0169

The other place to inquire would be Gratz College, which might have Clara's
or Danny's papers. Also the Balch Institute of Ethnic Studies in
Philadelphia houses the JPS archives and might have correspondence relating
to Clara's book.
