And, there is also a ferry from Oakland and Alameda to most San
Francisco Giants' games that docks very close to the ball park. More
information at
http://www.eastbayferry.com/headlines/giants_sched_2005.html

For those arriving in San Francisco from the East Bay via BART who might
find the 10-12 block walk from Market Street (Embarcadero Station) a
bit too long, you can walk or transfer to Muni Metro (N-Line/inbound or
specially marked ballpark trains) or walk just 8 blocks straight down 2nd
Street from the _Montgomery_ Street Station of BART/Muni Metro (one stop
after Embarcadero when arriving from Oakland and other East Bay points).
Like the ballpark ferry terminal, the N line will get you right to the
stadium. Another alternative is to take an AC Transit bus from a number
of East Bay cities to the Transbay Terminal, about 8 blocks from the
ballpark.

Good directions for taking BART commuter trains; SF Muni Metro,
streetcars, or buses; Alameda/Oakland ferries; AC Transit buses,
or other transit systems (Golden Gate, Caltrain, SamTrans, etc.); or
driving to SBC (formerly PacBell) Park with helpful, detailed maps and
links to all the transit companies are available at
http://sanfrancisco.giants.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/sf/ballpark/directions.jsp

For the A's, a directional page to get to McAfee (formerly Oakland-Alameda
County) Coliseum and links to BART schedules can be found at
http://oakland.athletics.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/oak/ballpark/oak_ballpark_directions.jsp
