Shalom Monica,

Urim Publications published the English edition of this book called Eyes to
See as you noted, which was translated by the author's son. It takes a
critical look at the society and lifestyle of much of the orthodox and
ultra-Orthodox, among other issues it delves into. As the original book in
Hebrew was self-published in NY by the author, himself an ultra-Orthodox
sage and posek but a type of maverick without loyalties to the
establishment, not many know about it, and those who do, often do not want
to touch it or promote it, for a number of reasons (and as some religious
Jewish papers have refused to review this new book in English Eyes to See,
as it is so self-critical, though out of love and a desire of the author
for introspection and to recapture ethics that were emblematic of the more
religious prior to WWII). Nonetheless, a good distributor of rabbinic books
in Hebrew should be able to locate this book for you in the original
Hebrew. If you have trouble, plea! se drop me an email to my main work
email at
<mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>[EMAIL PROTECTED] and I
will foward your request on to the author's son to be in touch with you
about getting ahold of a copy.
Sincerely,

Tzvi Mauer
