Dear Hasafran friends-

I have been doing some research about the new Newberry Award winner
-- Criss Cross by Lynne Rae Perkins, described in the New York Times
as "about small decisions that can change a person's life." Our
Judaic library occasionally buys children's/young adults' books that
are not specifically Jewish but that teach life lessons that are in
accord with Jewish values and mitzvot. Does anyone out there know if
this award winner might be suitable for a Jewish library? Anyone
know any specific reason why it might NOT be suitable?

Thanks for your help.
