Myriam Fuks, a well-known Yiddish singer, is the child of Holocaust
survivors. Her mother lived in the past repeating the tales of her
horrors. Last year Myriam was amazed to discover that her mother knew
a very different Holocaust. She lived a good life as a Christian in
a small German village. The film follows Myriam as she tries to
understand her mother's real story, the meaning of the truth, and
ultimately reconciliation. It's a film about myths, their use, and
abuse. A victim twice - once in Nazi Germany, and again among her own
people - this is about the fight for life and the zest to live.
