I heard recently that Telushkin's Jewish Literacy has sold 200,000 copies.
I found this hard to believe - I expected a much higher figure -
especially since Maureen Dowd's Are Men Necessary has already sold
over 240,000 and Alan Alda's Never Have Your Dog Stuffed is said to
have sold over 180,000, I know Jewish books have a smaller audience,
but Jewish Literacy has become a classic; can it really have sold
fewer books over the years that Alan Alda's dog book?
