There was a posting about library time on Shabbat in a Conservative Synagogue. Here in Sarasota I purchased a library cart and place my newest books (which I listed in my monthly articles), book review copies, dvds, and books requested during the week by patrons. We push the cart outside the Social Hall and offer our materials after Friday evening and Saturday services. We must not write and so we prepare small post-its with the due date and put them on the book pockets when the books are circulated. The book cards are paper-clipped to a membership cards which we bring in a box. The whole thing is counted and processed by the first helper on Monday. This is why we must keep putting pockets and cards in our books. Get in touch with me if there are any more questions.
