In response to my posting asking about a complete list of books for
children and teens that have won a National Jewish Book Award, Sherry
Wasserman directed me to a list on the Jewish Book Council website,
<http://www.jewishbookcouncil.org/>http://www.jewishbookcouncil.org
. Although the website states that the award goes back to 1948, the
list of awards starts in 1949 and goes to 2005. The first award for
a children's book is noted as being 1952, when Taylor's All of a Kind
Family one the Isaac Sigel Memorial Award. This award, I believe,
predated the National Jewish Book Awards. Does anyone know of a
source for finding all the books that won it?
