I am forwarding a post from Miri Pomerantz of the Jewish Book Council
regarding an upcoming Israel trip:

 >>The Jewish Book Council is partnering with Taglit-birthright israel:
Mayanot to offer the Taglit-birthright Israel Mayanot/Jewish Book Council
ISRAEL IN PRINT trip. This is a unique Taglit-birthright israel trip with a
special focus on journalism, writing, and literature. This free ten-day trip
is for Jewish young adults ages 18-26 who have not yet been to Israel on a
peer experience, and it will feature all of the elements of the regular
birthright israel trip--hiking, jeep rides, climbing Masada, floating in the
Dead Sea, enjoying the excitement and culture of Safed, Tiberias, Tel Aviv
and Jerusalem, and many other activities--plus discussions with journalists
and authors in Israel and exploring the Israeli literary scene. The trip is
scheduled for early June and will be staffed by a Jewish Book Council
professional and author/journalist Ruth Andrew Ellenson.

If you know of anyone--friends, family members, students, members of your
community--who might be interested in participating, please tell them to
check out the page on our website
http://www.jewishbookcouncil.org/page.php?26 or to email
[EMAIL PROTECTED] Although the trip is not until the summer, registration
starts in just a few weeks (mid-February).
