Friends,
Our conservator handed me a map with the title “Encyclopaedia
Judaica, Israel, Map of the Cease-Fire Lines” and said, “Which volume
of EJ does this go to?” The map has a “compiled and drawn” date of
December 1967 and a “printed” date of November 1971, both by the
Survey of Israel. I have flipped quickly through the 1972 edition in
an attempt to “feel out” any pockets where a wall map could have been
placed. I have tried in the index under several headings to check out
maps… and they all seem to be maps printed in the text.
So, any ideas where this map could come from? I see in WorldCat
other copies of this map are out there, Cal has some (HI Paul!) but
none of them also say Encyclopaedia Judaica in their records. Thanks
in advance for your help!
