Our two libraries (lower school, grades k-3, and upper school, grades 4-8) are in the process of being automated. Both librarians work part time, four days a week. There is no full time coverage in the libraries the days that the librarians are working. We have no aides.
For those of you who have automated libraries, how do you handle signing out books when no librarian is present? Suggestions are welcome.
