Meet Jewish Childrens Authors
Sunday, March 11, 3 pm. Join award-winning local childrens authors
Laurie Jacobs and Sarah Lamstein along with Charlesbridge Publishing
book editor Judy OMalley for an overview of the craft of writing for
children and the nuts and bolts of getting your work published. 3pm
5:30pm in room 102. Jointly sponsored by Hebrew College and the
Jewish Community Center of Greater Boston. $5 admission. For

Upcoming this Spring and Summer
April is National Poetry Month! Look out for Poetry workshops and a
slam! for teens and adults. This summer, gear up for weekly story
times, a Singles Event, and a summer day camp! The Mystery of
History, a program to learn Oral History, interviewing, research and
writing skills for ages 8-12, August 6-16. To register or learn

What has the library been up to this winter?!
The Third International Book-a-thon!
Hebrew College staff and faculty, as well as Prozdor students,
participated this year in the Third International Book-a-thon, a New
York based program to encourage the reading of Jewish
books. Congratulations to Sapir Cora Nachman, NCSC student, who read
the most this year! Look out for the program next year to involve
your own family.
The inaugural issue of JLink!
JLink, short for Jewish Library Ink, is a new Jewish literary
library journal for teens! JLink publishes poems, short stories,
book reviews, art work and essays relating to a Jewish theme or
holiday season in each issue. Our first issue offers creative
writing by Prozdor students on the topic of Finding Light in the
Darkness, motivated by the Hanukkah season. Submit work for our
spring issue! Submissions requested by March 30, 2007, on the topic
of Freedom to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
