Just as an FYI, I just tried to book a room for June 16-21 online and even though the AJL rate (BTW, it shows Association fo Jewish Librarians--two errors--on the Hilton webpage) was clearly shown, and I followed the directions, much higher rates kept coming up, not the special Convention rate! I finally called Hilton Reservations, and after an inordinately long wait (mostly on hold), I was told that Saturday night was "sold out!" I could only get the AJL rate for Sunday through Wednesday! This seems odd given that this information just recently went online...To be safe, I had to book at a much higher rate ($189 plus the $17 extra fees + 11.92% tax) for that first night. Why is the place already "sold out" when the web page shows that the rate is available 6/15-6/21? Has anyone else encountered this or a similar problem? Is there any way to rectify this?
