Mazel tov to Lisa Silverman for an excellent article called "Bearing Witness Through Picture Books" in the March 1, 2007 issue of School Library Journal, <http://www.schoollibraryjournal.com/article/CA6420400.html>http://www.schoollibraryjournal.com/article/CA6420400.html After a cogent introduction, it consists of a bibliography of recent illustrated books about the Holocaust, plus some videos and websites. Children's books of Jewish content need the exposure that articles like Lisa's give them and perhaps, among its benefits, it will inspire more Judaic librarians to publish in the secular (as well as Jewish) children's literature media.
