Hey there campers,

I just got off the horn with Florence Horn (of Philip Miller fame,
who announced
to us all that Flo has 24 metric tons of books to donate to
synagogues, libraries
and schools). We chatted for 43 minutes.

I haven't enjoyed a phone conversation that much in ages and ages.
She says that
she's 82 but don't you believe it. More like 82 going on 40. She's
hysterical (she
and my mother would get along just dandy fine). With that much positive energy,
what's the point of incandescent light bulbs?

So here's the deal. Does anyone live near Cabrini Blvd and 181st
Street, Manhattan
near Yeshiva U? That said: Is there anyone out near there that might
want to do me
a wee favour?

Florence says she'll give me her jewish music books (and perhaps some of the
cassette tapes) if somebody is willing to go on by to pick them up.
She can't wrap
up books and walk them to the post office to send them to anybody
ever since she
got caught up in 9/11 and broke every bone in her body (...and swallowed one of
her eyeballs! When you go to visit be sure to ask her about it, it's a great
story!)

If there are any takers out there in AJLandia, I'll pay the postage and the
round-trip bus fare and the twine and the wrapping paper. Florence
told me I could
give you all this info:

And remember, makes no difference whether you can take on this little quest or
not, give me a buzz when you are in Valencia the penny tour is on me. I'll even
spring for the coffee (you can get the doughnut).
