DIRECTOR OF LIBRARIES Bar Ilan University, Ramat Gan, Israel, is announcing a search for an appropriate candidate for the position of Director of Libraries. Among the Director's duties, besides administering the Wurzweiler Central Library, will be the consolidation of the present 22 semi-independent libraries into an integrated system. These libraries serve the university's six faculties: Arts and Sciences, Social Sciences, Law, Judaica, Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, with special attention to the field of Judaica in which all students are required to take courses.
Academic preparation in Information/Library Science is required, preferably a Ph.D., but M.L.S. holders are also invited to apply. Desirable is a second Master's Degree in a subject area other than librarianship for a candidate with a Master's Degree in Information/Library Science.
