Dear Safranim, This year's AJL convention blog promises to be an exciting look into our organization and our profession. I urge you to share the blog with your supervisor so that they can either virtually attend the convention at your side, or if you're not going, so that they can see that you are involved in a truly vibrant organization. It's great for us to get together with those who understand us best, but it's also great to educate others about what we do.
You can, of course, present the blog to your boss in your own words... but just to try to make it easy for everyone, I've come up with an "open letter" that you can share with your administrator, rabbi, principal, etc. Feel free to use it or adapt it as you wish. --Heidi Estrin, PR Committee A MESSAGE FROM AJL ABOUT YOUR LIBRARIAN We know you're proud of your librarian and the active role they take in the profession through the Association of Jewish Libraries. AJL members are in for a great experience at the annual convention June 17-20 in Scottsdale, Arizona ... and those who can't attend will be with us virtually through our Convention Blog. You can "be there" too, learning alongside your own librarian, by visiting www.ajl2007.blogspot.com. Reports on sessions, attendee spotlights, and audio interviews let you share the excitement! Take a moment to check it out - we think you'll be as energized about Jewish books and libraries as the rest of us. "See you" in Scottsdale!
