This Sunday, August 12th at 4:30 PM, in the UJA building, you are 
cordially invited
to come honor the memory of the Soviet Yiddish writers murdered 55 
years ago in the
Lubianka prison in Moscow.
Boris Sandler, editor of the Yiddish Forward, will give an 
introduction. The program
includes readings from Shmuel Gordons novel Yizker, a roman a clef 
about the period
of Stalinist repression; readings from the poetry of the murdered 
writers; and a
trio will play selections from Dmitry Shostakovich's works with Jewish themes.
