Perhaps she was talking about "Rutka's Notebook" which was written up in the New York Times on June 10, 2007. Rutka Laskier lived in the Bedzin ghetto in Poland. I did not find this book available for sale from Amazon, but I believe it is available from Yad Vashem at www.yadvashem.org .
