Safraniot and Safranim, I need your suggestions. I've been asked for recommendations as to how to proceed in cataloging (minimally) a small synagogue collection (2000 - 3000 books) so that there is a record. (The original card catalog records were lost during renovation.) Automation of this collection may follow, but not immediately. Are the MARC records for most books available through LC? Can these be downloaded without a subscription? Could these records later be converted to an appropriate library automation system?
