Hi, colleagues. One of the teachers here is planning a unit on Jewish life in the Middle Ages. He is defining this period as roughly 900-1400 CE, which would include Maimonides but leave out the Inquisition. He has asked me to compile a list of historical fiction appropriate for Middle School students on this general subject. In our collection, I have located My Guardian Angel, by Sylie Weil, The Cure, by Sonia Levitin, and The Star and the Sword, by Pamela Melnikoff. Can anyone recommend additional titles? Thanks.
