ARE YOU RELEVANT? LOBBYING FOR LIBRARIANS AND LIBRARIES "Valuing Libraries: Demonstrating the Contributions Libraries Make to their Communities", presented by Joanne P. Roukens, Executive Director, Highlands Regional Library Cooperative; New Jersey Library Association Librarian of the Year - Developed in partnership with the New Jersey State Library and the Highlands Regional Library Cooperative Funding and Resource Development Task Force. Focus group, conducted by Philip Monchar, Market Researcher and Focus Group Moderator - The focus group will identify key talking points to transmit the values of both the libraries and their professionals to key/managing constituents. Tour of the recently restored historic Temple Emanu-El sanctuary. The Fall Conference will take place on Thursday, November 8th, 2007, 1-4 p.m., at Congregation Emanu-El of the City of New York, 1 East 65th Street, New York City. The registration fee is $10 for members of the NYMA Chapter of AJL and $18 for non-members. Payment is at the door but call or e-mail to register *no later than Monday, November 5th*.
