Many of you may remember that before Shlemiel Crooks appeared as an illustrated book for children and won a Sydney Taylor Honor Book, it appeared as a limited edition miniature book for Judaica collectors (see: www.olswanger.com/crooks.shtml).
After publishing that book, I published a second Jewish-themed miniature book: Chicken Bone Man (winner of an F. Scott Fitzgerald Short Story Award) www.olswanger.com/chickenbone.shtml I have now published a third miniature book called Greenhorn, which is the story of a young Holocaust survivor who arrives at a Brooklyn elementary school yeshiva in 1946. Greenhorn is a limited edition of 495, has 64 pages, measures 2 1/2 x 3 inches, and is case bound with imitation leather on the spine and a gold-embossed title. The book includes a color pen-and-ink drawing.
