Founder and former chair of the Department of Politics and Government
at Ben-Gurion University and editor of the International Journal of
Geopolitics, a political geographer, Professor Newman is an active
participant in Track II Israeli-Palestinian negotiations. His work
focuses on issues relating to borders and settlement. Prof. Newman
also represented Israeli universities in the United Kingdom in all
matters relating to the proposed and recently defeated academic
boycott.
