Hello,
I have a friend who teaches in a Jewish day school. Her
students are researching Jewish life in smaller towns in America
(i.e. definitely not New York) from 1700 to 1950. The students need
to use books, not computers, to do the research. They are especially
interested in more traditional Jewish communities and stories about
individuals. I've told her about FAMILY of STRANGERS which is the
history of the Jews in the State of Washington. Could you all
pleasegive me some other suggestions of books that I could pass on to
her? Of course they need the information this week!

     Thanking you in advance,
Dina Tanners
Seattle, WA
