Hi. I'm in a book group that is comprised of Jewish women. We don't
necessarily read Jewish literature, but we do read books with Jewish
content from time to time. At our meeting last week, we discussed
two books about Iranian Jews, The Septembers of Shiraz by Dalia
Sofer, and Caspian Rain by Gina B. Nahai. Both books have difficult
content, and Caspian Rain is particularly disturbing in places, but
the members of the group expressed great admiration for both books,
and we had a very good discussion about the pair. I recommend these books.
