And his father eats out of wooden spoons and plates, etc. (in contrast to china) This goes on for quite some time... The son (who is also a father) sees his own child playing and creating some wooden implements, and the father asks his own son "what are you making?" and his son responds : "I am making these for you so you can will have them to eat with when you go up to the attic."
