Hello,

My name is Uri Kolodney. I was recently appointed as the Interim
Hebraica & Judaica Bibliographer at the University of Texas at Austin
Libraries. From previous postings I understand that some of you knew
Nathan Snyder. If you have any questions about Nathan, please email
me off list.

As for myself, I don't have any professional background in Jewish
Studies. I am a professional librarian here in the UT Libraries and I
manage the Digitization Services unit. I do have knowledge of Hebrew
and Israeli culture and I am fluent in Hebrew. Thanks to AJL, I was
recently 'matched' with Leah Hauser from the Baltimore Hebrew
University to be my mentor, and I thank her and the AJL for that.

I joined this list a few weeks ago and already used some of the
information provided. I hope to learn more about Hebrew and Jewish
librarianship during the coming year (especially cataloging and
collection management); I also apologize in advance is some of my
potential questions to the list might be 'lame' or too basicÂ… - but,
as they say, "Nor can the shy man learnÂ…." J

I wish you all Shanah Tovah Umetuka!

Uri
