Many thanks to David for his useful listing "of relatively new books
dealing [with] Israel, the Palestinians, and the Middle East along
with links to the reviews." I would just note that the reviews he has
provided links to are ALL from the same source - The Middle East
Forum. This organization and those who write for it tend to have the
same pov on middle eastern affairs - check who is on their "List of
Experts". Nothing wrong with that in itself, as long as you know
about it. I would suggest that other reviews of these books may have
differing opinions about them. Librarians should be aware of inherent
biases in reviewers, regardless of their bent, and seek a range of
reviews if at all possible.
