The New York Metropolitan Area Chapter of the Association of Jewish Libraries (AJL-NYMA) will hold its 2009 Day School/High School Workshop on Wednesday, March 18th, 9:30 am-12 noon, at the Frisch School, the Esther and Henry Swieca Family Campus, 120 West Century Road, Paramus, New Jersey 07652.
PROGRAM: 9:30-10 am Registration, Coffee, Networking 10 am-12 noon "GUIDELINES FOR USING HOLOCAUST LITERATURE WITH MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS" Presented by Beryl Bresgi, Librarian, Solomon Schechter Day School of Bergen County; Kathe Pinchuck, Chair, Sydney Taylor Book Award Committee, Librarian, Congregation Beth Shalom, Teaneck New Jersey & part-time Librarian, Montclair Public Library. *Following the presentation, there will be a tour of the new Frisch School.* REGISTRATION: RSVP Leah Moskovits ([email protected]). Payment is at the door, NYMA members, $10, non-members, $18. DIRECTIONS BY CAR: From NYC via George Washington Bridge: Route 4 West to Route 17 North. Exit Century Road/Fair Lawn (i.e. the second Century Road exit). Bear right on ramp crossing over Route 17. Follow signs to Inspection Center and Bergen Community College. Bear left onto Century Road. At third light, left into school campus. From Garden State Parkway North: Exit 161 onto Route 4 East. Follow signs to Route 17 North and then follow directions above. From Garden State Parkway South: Exit 163 onto Route 17 South (exit on left side). Exit right at Century Road and continue straight onto Century Road. You will pass Inspection Station on the left. Continue to third light and turn left into school campus.
