A 4.5-Hour CEU Course at the 2009 AJL Convention

Promoting Digital Research in the Jewish Library:
Resources and Strategies

Studies at New York University.
>From 2004-2007, Michael was Coordinator of the Center for Online
Judaic Studies.
Sunday, July 5 from 3:30 ? 5:00 pm
and Monday, July 6 from 8:30 ? 10:00 am
and Monday, July 6 from 10:30 am ? Noon
The course will identify digital Judaic studies resources such as the
Bar Ilan Responsa Project and the Center for Online
Judaic Studies. How can these resources be searched? How can we
incorporate the use of these resources in the
classroom, and among our patrons? What resources are ?cost
effective?? Do digital Judaic resources replace the Jewish
book? What new digital resources can we expect to see in the future?
Tuition is $45.00*
AJL and the University of Wisconsin-Madison/Extension will award a
0.5 CEU certificate to each participant if he/she is a
current (paid-up) AJL member and is present for the entire 4.5 hours
of instruction.
