Today I cataloged a children's book titled "Celebrate Ramadan & Eid
Al-Fitr", which is part of National Geographic's "Holidays Around the
World" Series. I was pleasantly surprised to find on page six, a
picture of an elderly Arab man reading to a child. The caption for
the picture: "Abu Mofid Kosum reads the Qur'an to a young friend
outside a cabin he uses for meditation in the Galilee region of
Israel" (emphasis mine). In light of all the garbage that gets
published about Israel, it's nice to see some something positive. It
is important to recognize the positive (hakarat ha-tov) no matter how small.
