Many of these Seforim are not sold in regular stores. Our Seforim catalog is the only one on the web that combines: careful selection, library-style full bibliographic information, 4 pictures from each Sefer, plus online availability. The investment of time to select, prepare and edit this information is substantial. The benefits for readers, authors and Torah study we believe are great. Unfortunately the returns from sales are miniscule. As many of you may or may not have realized VirtualGeula is a labour of love(Ahavat Sefer) and frequently costs more to run than it earns. This is all the more the true in these difficult times when people cut back on Seforim purchases. When we started in 1986 as as the Judaica Archival Project we hoped that many of our services could be for free. While in past generations most Seforim were often subvented by supporters, in our generation it is apparent that fund-raising for Seforim is a very very difficult venture. Today as a non-profit information and access project, supported by book sales and bibliographic services alone we struggle from month to month to cover costs, and despite the above VirtualGeula is in it's 13th year and has helped thousands of users to find Seforim they need ! Therefore we are asking if you are in the position to help sponsor the Newbooks section please contact us by email. We hope to upgrade and post all the books we have cataloged with pics and not just as an Excel file. If you are not, please take a moment and consider buying, renewing or upgrading your JAP subscription or membership as a small way to keep this service running. We have also initiated a new membership program (without book searches) for only 50 shekels for a half-year = 8 shekels or $2.00 a month.
