I don't have the book yet, but based on preview pages it closely mirrors the film (which I did see). The film & book are a collection of war memoirs, the author's & his colleagues'. Although it starts off with a dream sequence, I would think that this classifies it as non-fiction (specifically biography, with subject headings for the Lebanon War).
