One of the central mysteries of the 20th Century unfurls

Famed writer, critic and philosopher Walter Benjamin might-or might
not have committed suicide as he escaped the Nazis crossing the
Pyrenees. The circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear.
WHO KILLED WALTER BENJAMIN is a fascinating investigation into the
evidence and mis-information surrounding the death of one of the
great minds of the 20thCentury.

Walter Benjamin was a social and cultural critic who is considered
one of the leading philosophers associated with the Frankfort School
founded in the early 20th Century. His work on critical theory has
become more esteemed with the years and he is still regarded as the
leading thinker on literary and aesthetic theory.

David Mauas' film brings to the forefront the troubling circumstances
surrounding the death of Walter Benjamin – and their unresolved
nature. The film captures the mystery and the beauty of the Spanish
town of Portbou where Benjamin is said to have taken his life.

As the 70th anniversary of his death approaches, we would like to
encourage you to purchase a copy of WHO KILLED WALTER BENJAMIN. This
is an important documentary about a leading figure of Twentieth
Century thought.

The film is available for the price of $300 for university libraries
and $115 for public libraries. WHO KILLED WALTER BENJAMIN has already
been purchased by libraries at educational institutes such as Yale
University, UC Berkeley, Monash University in Australia and Harvard
University. In addition the film has shown at numerous film festivals
including the Jerusalem Film Festival, the Barcelona Jewish Film
Festival and the Jacob Burns Film Center.

WHO KILLED WALTER BENJAMIN is an intriguing film and a critical
addition to your collection.
