The Jewish Review of Books was just sent to me. To quote its ad – it is "a lively new[quarterly] magazine of ideas and argument, criticism and commentary, written by leading scholars, critics, and journalists…" The first issue includes articles and reviews by Shlomo Avineri, Dara Horn, Michael Weingrad, and Jon D. Levenson. Abraham Socher of Oberlin College is the editor. The website is www.jewishreviewofbooks.com. It's likely that many Jewish libraries and readers will find it interesting and useful.
