I am pleased to announce that Dr. Ann Brener, Hebraic Area Specialist in the Hebraic Section of the African and Middle Eastern Division of the Library of Congress, has published her first novel, Samuel's Daughter, A Love Story from Third-Century Parthia. Drawing on the very briefest of references to the daughters of Rabbi Samuel of Nehardea in the Babylonian Talmud, Ann has created the portrait of a young woman caught between the demands of two cultures, lands, and religions. Ann is also the author of two books on Hebrew poetry from Muslim Spain. Samuel's Daughter can be purchased at www.amazon.com ISBN: 1-4392-4991-1 ISBN-13: 9781439249918
