On Hasafran, Abigail Yasgur referred Denise Kleinman to me - for some
information on a Jewish bookmobile.

Thanks for the referral, Abigail, you have a good memory! Yes, I did
do extensive research on the possibility that the Jewish Community
Library of Los Angeles, of which Abigail was Director at the time,
might provide bookmobile services. However, my research was at least
15 years ago - certainly not pertinent today. And I no longer have
my files on that subject since I've been retired for 14 years. Sorry
I can't be of direct help.

However, Denise, I googled "library bookmobiles" just for fun now and
there appear to be many libraries that have bookmobile services. You
might try writing to some of those libraries and request answers to
your questions. I don't think the Judaica component is important for
this topic.

Also, try Bing.com as your search engine. It has topics
like: Bookmobiles and Outreach Services, Bookmobile Manufacturers,
Bookmobile Companies, Bookmobile History, Used Bookmobiles. Try to
extrapolate the data that you need and apply it to your own situation.

Finally, your local public and university libraries may have some
books on the topic too.

Good luck!
