Hi everyone. Today is the day I have chosen at my own library to
conduct Library Snapshot Day. I've gotten some really interesting
comments from patrons and teachers (they write them for me on little
paper hearts). I've also been getting a good headcount, with lots of
story times for preschoolers, religious school classes, meetings
being held in the room, and plain old patrons – they're all building
up my number nicely!

I just wanted to encourage each of you to choose a day and do a
headcount, even if you don't do anything else for Library Snapshot
Day. Even if it's a rough estimate, it's helpful. We just want to end
up with a wonderful aggregate number so that we can say something
along the lines of "on a single day in November, x number of people
made use of their Jewish libraries" and have that number be something
impressive! Technically, it won't be all on the same single day, but
it averages out and creates a broad general picture of what AJL
libraries have to offer.

Be sure to email your head count number (and/or anything else about
your Library Snapshot Day) [email protected].

Thanks for your help, everyone.
